Overall it is in very good condition but has a few external rust spots around the wheel arch- nothing structural. A few relatively minor issues were highlighted in the last MOT (details below) and I was quoted £1,200 to fix them all. However THEY WERE ALL MINOR DEFECTS AND THE VAN IS READY TO DRIVE AWAY AND USE FOR TRIPS.

Selling “Tessie” the T4 campervan. The van has all the usual features including captains chairs in the front (they turn round to face into the van so you can all sit round the table together (table included in sale). As mentioned it needs a few bits fixing (non urgent) but I don’t have the budget right now- as is reflected in the sale price. These vans go for up to £12,000 in pristine condition. Private number plate included in sale: if you are interested in doing shows etc I have the display plates “T4 4NFG” in the van.
Payment in full by bank transfer on sale.
The Good
Almost every thing works: hob (2 burners), sink, internal lighting, 12 and 240v internal power/lighting including power inverter when running on leisure battery (new last year). Had a new main battery this year and a tire replaced last year. Engine had a new head fitted in 2023. Gearbox serviced and 5th gear bearings and seals replaced in 2002. Also had new timing belt fitted 2023. All injectors removed, cleaned and fitted this yearMN(at a cost of over £500!). Have numerous receipts for all the work mentioned plus lots of other work done on the van. Alloy wheels. Rear seat belts. Lot’s of additional extras: 240v hook-up cable, tow bar with cycle rack fitting, thermal coverings for all the windows, full awning (only used once!) worth £300,
The Bad
Runs a little lumpy on start up but starts first time every time- that includes when I started it up after sitting on the drive for three months! Had a major service couple of months ago. There were some minor issues highlighted in the MOT: Track rod end ball joint dust cover damaged or deteriorated, Coolant leak, Shock absorbers (front) has a slightly worn bush, Brake pipe corroded, covered in grease or other material, Service brake binding but not excessively. As you can see no major drama’s, just don’t have the budget to fix right now. Re coolant leak it’s not serious. When in daily use I had to top it up about every eight weeks with about a half a litre of fluid so not really worth the effort or cost to track it down! One last thing: car remote central locking for all door & tailgate but it doesn’t work on the drivers door so you have to lock with key.
