2003 VW LT – 2.5 litre TDI engine producing 95HP – 187k miles (barely run in haha)

Major recent works:

New rear brakes, including all cables and shoes, pads etc. Genuine new rear ABS sensors. – 186k

New windscreen – 187k

Inspection of drive belts, alternator belts and engine health check / fluid flush and replacement. – 186k

As can be seen on MOT history the van didn’t move very much in the last year due to issues with the rear brakes, this has now been fully rectified, and the brakes/handbrake are sharp as new. (all other advisories have also been taken care of)

Drive belts and clutch replaced by previous owner, no proof was given but clutch bites perfectly and the belts all look new. Full dealership service history up until 155k, previous owner was a mechanic and serviced himself. In my ownership has had all oils/filters including rear diff.

Converted by myself in 2022 as a means to have somewhere to live during my shifts in London. No expense spared when building the van. The van was completely stripped and insulated with a mix of 25 and 50mm Kingspan along with plastic fibre in the hard to insulate places. For reference the heater isn’t needed until the very end of September, it’s a warm living area.

The countertop and shelf are both solid oak and custom built for this van. The floor is 5mm thick oak on MDF and rubber for comfort and creaking reduction. 

Spec: 100AH lithium-ion battery, full Renogy power converter, 400w solar power setup on roof, 1000W inverter, main power hook up, 50L litre water tank, 30L 12V fridge, 5KW diesel heater, 50L per hour water pump, plumed sink, 2 stove gas hob (with brand new gas bottle – 15/09/24), 32 inch roof mounted TV with full range of motion for viewing in bed and from seats, huge bed (2m by 1.74m) I’m 6’5 and have room to spare. Max air fan with optional light/blind surround. Massive awning with supports, 2 huge storage sections at rear (comes with window blinds, tow rope, ramps for uneven ground, 2x fire extinguishers, spare duvet and some spare parts). 3 x 240v sockets, 3 x 12v usb outlets.

Not fitted but included is a DC-to-DC power converter, not required as solar set up charges’ battery even in overcast conditions.
