Hi there!
I'm reluctantly selling my amazing 2007 Vivaro Long Wheel Base HighTop Campervan. I absolutely love this van and wouldn’t be parting with it if I didn’t need a ULEZ-compliant vehicle for work in London. Unfortunately, I can't keep two vans on the road, so sadly, it’s time for “Vinny” to find a new home.
Price: £10,000, MOT til March '26/Taxed.
Location: Barry Island, South Wales
Ready to go: Drive it away and start your next adventure immediately!
I've invested quite a bit into upgrading and maintaining this van properly. Here's what you get:
Brand new Dometic fridge/freezer (runs quietly and efficiently off the leisure battery for days)
Professionally installed Maxi Fan (air in and out—amazing in summer)
Modern wood slat ceiling and wall panels with ambient strip lighting
Full soundproofing and insulation throughout
Upgraded Sargent EC160 electrical system with control panel and charging points
Fully registered as a campervan
Classic rock and roll bed with seatbelts
Swivel captain seats (passenger spins 360°, driver 180°)
2-burner gas hob + sink (water pump ready, just not fitted)
Overhead cubbies + smart storage throughout
Tow bar included
Roomy layout – you can sit 5 inside comfortably!
Being a HighTop, there’s full standing room (I’m over 6ft and fit fine!), and the Long Wheel Base gives loads of extra living space—ideal for longer trips, off-grid living, or spontaneous weekends away.
2007 Vauxhall Vivaro
2.0L Diesel
6-speed manual
178,500 miles (still in use, so may increase slightly)
Drives like a dream – motorway cruising is smooth and easy. I NEVER exceed 2000 revs if I can, to prolong the life of the engine!
Around 45 mpg on long drives, easily.
Starts first time, every time – no injector issues whatsoever. No smoke from the exhaust.
4 new tyres
Brand new clutch and gearbox (Feb 2025) – the only thing I wanted to replace for added peace of mind.
It’s been serviced twice a year, with full documentation from my ownership and the previous one.
It’s 18 years old and not ULEZ compliant
Some light cosmetic scuffs and a couple of tiny panel dents (nothing serious)
Airbag warning lights come on due to the sensor beneath the swivel seat – they're your constant friends on the dashboard, but do not compromise the van at all. Always reset at MOTs, anyway.
The coil light sometimes comes on every 1000 miles or so, and more so in cold winter months. I've had this checked and rechecked, and it has been put down to an age-related glitch. It's easy to remove – I simply reset the engine by clicking back 1 click when driving, and that seems to reset the CPU.
This is a super reliable, well-loved, and practical camper that’s ready for the road. I’ve kept it clean and mechanically sound, and I was planning on refurbing the interior fully until work changed my plans.
You don’t often see HighTop Vivaro campers like this pop up—they hold their value well and are fantastic for UK weather camping all year round, especially in winter when they rule!
Most importantly, this has NEVER broken down or not started, for any reason. The engine itself is a workhorse and just ticks over as it always has.
I am very sad to part wth it, but I need an ULEZ vehicle asap, so, given her age too, I'm selling at a loss for just £10,000.
Thanks for looking. Any questions, please reach out. Simon
