VW Syncro 4x4 1.6 Turbo Diesel engine. Left-Hand Drive. Perfect for trips to Europe. : ) This very rare Syncro VW has 5 gears (1 slow gear between 0-1st gear marked “G” gear) and rear diff lock. It recently passed its MOT expires 26 April 2025. Fantastic van for a good price (in Europe they can go for double the price).

Just did a big run through Europe without any problems. Air tight and running cool! Great off-roader and standing room with raised roof for cooking and cupboard space. Has pulled people out of a lot of sticky situations with tow bar and pulled carts full of mulch for tree planting on hills in the pouring rain. Only 3 owners. Have original log book/passport.
Was an Austrian ambulance before a guy from Sheffield imported it and did it up as a camper and then changed his mind and bought something bigger. I then bought it in 2012 and spent money over the years with very minor problems including an oil leak which is gone completely. Would be good to be taken care of and some of the body work cleaned up. Bad rust around windshield and side panel but no major rust issues. Undercarriage has been undercoated before I bought it so is well protected. Has been converted to camper with a neat rock and roll bed and it has a great functioning stove, fridge and water all installed. It needs a new leisure battery and some personal touches to cosy up the inside. But that’s part of the van life 😉
Conversion Description
Conversion was done by previous owner to a good standard. The rock and roll bed pulls out and has always been very comfortable. The gas cooker works well. The fridge works off the gas. There is a water tank but the electrics need a look at with a new leisure battery to really figure it all out. We only ever used the ceiling lights, fridge, cooker and water when we used it. There are plug sockets to use when camper is plugged into mains and a heater but would suggest getting an electrician to have a look as not used the leisure battery in a while. The cupboards need new hinges and one of the doors to the cupboards is completely removed but when in use there is a good amount of room for storage overhead above the driver and passenger and in the rear above the rear passengers and boot. Needs a pole to slot into housing in floor for a table to be fitted.
