Gerty is a Medium length van with all the bits. Toilet , Fridge , Sink , Solar panels, TV, and two burner gas stove. There is also a diesel heater than we never fitted as it was never needed, the van is pretty warm even in the colder weather. A decent mattress offers comfy sleeping for two with lots of storage beneath ( we have stored two inflatable paddle boards and an inflatable three seater canoe with all the oars, wet suits and dry robes etc in this section so it accommodates quite a lot ) There’s storage over the drivers head and across one side of the van as shown.
We’ve had her for a couple of years and no issues whatsoever other than the roof leaking which we think have been resolved. There are some quirks , we only have one key now, the side door is a trick to open from the outside but dead easy from within. We bought her with that quirk and retained it for safety , its easy to open the door by leaning through from the passenger seat or when you want to leave the van but would be super hard for anyone to get in at night which for two women really helped us sleep well at night. The other quirk that we couldn’t get passed was the passenger seat – it spins around to provide two seats in the van but was super stiff so we didn’t use it, there is probably a trick to this but the van was big enough to accommodate soccer chairs so we never bothered.
The toilet is one of those camper bucket loos we would pull out of the cupboard when we needed rather than out all the time.
When the wiring was fitted the connection shows a faint light but that’s not a warning light on the dash its something to do with the solar panels and back up battery
The van was originally a florist van so has a ghost sign on the side – we deliberately kept it as that felt quite sweet
She has been a great van and we hope really offers a lot of adventure to anyone buying it from us ,we are getting a new MOT this week ( October 17th )
