2018 (’67 plate) L3H2 Peugeot Boxer Campervan.
Self built in 2021 to an exceptional standard. Having a 240v electric hook-up, it also has full off grid capability with underslung fresh and waste water tanks, 3000w inverter, 500w solar panels and a premium quality, 460Ah lithium polymer Fogstar battery which still has 6 years warranty remaining. Charging of the battery is via mains, solar or engine.
There is a full size, fixed double bed with a very comfortable memory foam mattress on a slatted base. There are two opening windows with curtains in the bedroom area with ceiling led lighting and several usb power points and two lockers for storage. The tv is stored in the bedroom, whilst travelling, on a swivel bracket which allows viewing in both the bedroom and the cabin. An Amazon Firestick is included with the tv.
Underneath the bed is the garage area housing, amongst other things, the electrical equipment. Accessed via the 270° opening rear doors, one side has been specifically built with mountain biking in mind with two fork mounts (adaptors included) on a full length, heavy duty sliding platform, making the safe loading/unloading of two bikes a breeze. The other side also has a slightly smaller sliding platform and shelf for storing tools, camping equipment etc. Access to the cassette toilet is also here and two propane gas bottles, one for use and one spare. A Thule Omnistor full length wind out awning is fitted to the nearside of the van providing shelter or shade along with an electric retractable Thule step to provide easy access to the cabin. This also retracts automatically when the engine is started.
In the cabin of the van you will find a bathroom with electric flush Thetford cassette toilet, shower, foldaway sink and cabinet. The kitchen area has a sink, two burner gas hob, microwave and a full size 12v fridge with small freezer compartment. Numerous cupboards and shelves with ample storage. There is a tambour door cupboard which houses the tv aerial/amplifier, WiFi router, fuse box and consumer unit. Switches for the lights and inverter are mounted on the side of the cabinet.
The ceiling houses recessed ceiling lights and a Maxxfan, thermostatically controlled, reversible fan with remote operation.
A number of usb and mains power outlets are fitted around the cabin.
There is a rear passenger double bench seat with seat belts and detachable table (which can be stored in the bathroom if necessary). Under the seat is a large storage area housing the Truma, 3 way hot air central heating/hot water system with several heater outlets fitted around the cabin.
Both front seats swivel 360° to make best use of the available living space and there is a large storage locker above the seats with another double locker above the passenger’s bench seat.
Remis hide away cab blinds to the front windows and blackout curtains to the remaining windows.
The entertainment system has been upgraded with a Pioneer DAB radio with Apple CarPlay, a Kenwood sub under the driver seat and Pioneer door speakers. An iPhone passive charging cradle is also included which is linked to the head unit.
The van has factory fitted cruise control/speed limiter, power fold electric heated mirrors. Working air conditioning, electric windows and factory fitted led driving lights and reverse camera. There is also a secondary rear camera and monitor providing full time rear view, helped at night with higher powered reverse lights. Rear suspension has been upgraded with heavy duty double leaf springs.
The van has four good tyres on 16″ alloy wheels and a new spare on a steel rim. Mileage is currently at 104,333 miles, which is nothing for these 1.9ltr engines if looked after, which this has. It has an oil and filter change every 10,000 miles (next one due at 110,000). The cambelt and water pump were replaced at around 75,000 miles and more recently the fuel pump housing and gasket replaced. Gearbox oil was replaced at 90,000 miles. New front brake pads have just been fitted and it has just had a new MOT which it passed no problems (it always does) and is re-registered as a motor caravan with the DVLA. The engine was remapped in 2021 to give approximately 140bhp.
The van is ready to go and being fully insulated and heated, can be used all year round.
