With a heavy heart, having had many wonderful adventures in this van, we are looking for someone new to make many more memories in it. We bought this self-build van at the beginning of 2021 and have had the best holidays in it – we have travelled the length and breadth of the UK and been abroad several times including a 6 week road trip around western Europe in which we travelled all the way to the south of Italy and back up through the Alps, and Vandrew (our name for the van!) was fantastic all the way.
Even though we are a family of 4 with two tall teen/preteen boys and Vandrew is a MWB van. (just under 6m, so easy to park!) we have had everything we’ve needed and there has been enough storage for really comfortable holidays.

Seats
- The van comes with 5 belted seats.
- The rear three are individually removable – we would often remove one of the seats for longer trips to add a bit more space
- The front two are generously spaced captain’s chairs that swivel.
Interior
Sleeping/Living Area
- Thoughtfully designed living space with oak-lined ply panelling and banquette seating and table which converts into a comfortable double bed.
- Two really comfortable stretcher style beds are cleverly rolled up in the day and are quick to put up at night above the double bed. There are USB ports and a reading light up high for the children to use.
- We also have an airbed that has been specially made for a Sprinter cab (from Van Cabin Airbeds) which means that 5 can sleep in the van. You are welcome to it if you’d like it.
- All of the electrics and gas bottle are housed under one of the bench seats so are really easy to access. There is loads of storage under the other bench seat.
- In the living area there are downlighters as well as LED uplighters for great ambient lighting.
- Blackout curtains throughout.
- Tinted windows on both sides as well as at the back mean that the van is really light inside without compromising on privacy.
- There are 4 static climbing hooks bolted to the interior roof so you could attach bungie cords between them and store surfboards/bodyboards up there or even use them as a fixed point for a hammock.
Kitchen Area
- The ample solar panels (2 large panels) power a huge fridge as well as numerous plug sockets and USB ports.
- The kitchen has a Fiamma sink and two gas hobs. The sink is serviced with interior water and waste tanks. It’s a really simple system and very easy to refill the fresh water and empty the waste water
- Downlighters in the kitchen area.
- There are three overhead cupboards for storing food and pots and space for cutlery too.
- Roof vent which can open manually and is fitted with an electric fan.
- There is also a large storage area over the cab, which is good for bulky items like bedding and towels.
Off-Grid Capability
- Fitted with a solar panel system (two large panels) and large leisure battery, allowing for extended off-grid adventures without sacrificing comfort.

Condition
This campervan has been regularly serviced and recently has had recently had the brakes replaced as well as various other repairs that you would expect for a vehicle of this age and mileage. We can also provide the paperwork for the conversion. For a ten year old van it is in great condition and has travelled really well for us over the past 4 years. There are some small rust areas which have been treated, though not professionally. Beyond that the bodywork is in good condition and there are no dents or scratches.
We have so loved this van and are so thankful for the past four years in it. Due to heavy work and school commitments on the weekends we just aren’t able to use it as much as we’d like, hence the sale. Do come and have a look – we’re sure you’ll love it as much as we have!
