This is a conversion with finishing to do. The van was purchased in 2019 with a view to converting and selling. Between Covid and other circumstances, the project was put on hold. It is fully functional except for shower ( not yet lined) and has been used on three trips only. This is a conversion with finishing to do. The van was purchased in 2019 with a view to converting and selling. Between Covid and other circumstances, the project was put on hold. It is fully functional except for shower ( not yet lined) and has been used on three trips only. The van was purchased with 32000 miles and now has 44000…the bulk of the mileage has been done travelling between Scotland and the SW (motorway miles). I am now travelling mainly by motorbike, have lost motivation with the camper and wish to sell.
Great care has been taken with the work and all equipment is top spec, eg 3 hob cooker with grill and oven, large capacity Truma 4E combi boiler/heater. The heating is digital/programmable. Gas canister is stored in a bespoke sealed cabinet below kitchen sink with ‘through floor’ ventilation to outside. Large stainless steel kitchen sink with chromed steel mixer tap. There is 240v hook up (cable supplied) and USB charging point.
The living area converts into a full size double bed in seconds. The cushions are all covered in quality fabric and the internal foam is of two layers (the top 1 inch layer being of memory foam for a luxury feel). There is a wonderful double sleeping bag if wanted (barely used).
Bathroom sink and shower attachment also have proper domestic steel chromed mixer taps. Shower room/toilet has been deliberately designed to be more spacious (with van living in mind) and incorporates two opening windows and skylight above shower. Chemical toilet has barely been used (always carefully cleaned) and never pooed in! There are two underslung tanks, one for fresh water (70 litres) and one for grey water (40 litres)
In my ownership, the van has had three oil/filter changes, one fuel filter and one air filter. A new starter battery was fitted one month ago and the front brakes were serviced recently. The van has towbar and electrics. All tyres are excellent and the wheels have been stove enamelled.
The van drives beautifully and I’ll be sorry to see her go.
Further, I have a host of photographs showing step by step progress during the conversion, including evidence of the thorough insulation which includes mainly 25mm 40mm 50mm celotex and expanding foam and rockwool for cavities. Many other photos show cabinetry, floor construction, skylight installation etc.
The van is sorned and MOT runs out on 10th Aug 2024 but can be easily renewed.
