Ford Transit XLWB converted to camper van.
NOW £4200
REDUCED FROM £6500, to £5250 to £5000 – any reasonable offer will be considered, but nothing daft please.
Need to move onto new projects and explore again!
Was an ex-Severn Trent Jetter van, which I brough a few years ago and converted. I would keep her, but my needs have changed so am looking to do something different. I am afraid I am not interested in swaps as I have already a deposit on the vehicle I want.
She was built around water and outdoor activities.
Currently SORN, and I have not used her this year due to work and various other things, drives OK, has been well maintained, and doesn’t have to have an MOT! She is down as a plant type vehicle which is why it will come up as No details held by DVLA.
She does have a couple of battle scars, as you would expect, a weekend with a tin of touch up paint would remove all the rust spots, but I would rather get out and about. She is watertight, and I do have soft furnishings to go into her – I just haven’t put them in as I took them out at the end of last year.
She is plated at 5 ton vehicle, so please check your license. She can be down plated, a company called SVtech do the job for about £200. I haven’t done it as I have a HGV license.
Great engine, gets to 70mph really quickly, and stays there all day – is restricted, but I found I never had the need to go faster. Does tow really well with lots of power.
Installed is:
Split charge
Twin battery for the van
Twin battery for the interior lights etc
Diesel heater
Gas hob
240v Hook Up
Water heater connected to outside shower
Tow bar
PTO driven compressor – ideal for blowing up paddle boards, etc and 110volt generator (haven’t tested recently but worked a couple of years ago)
Main battery isolators
I have plugged the OBD in to show there are no error codes (Photo)
Seats are worn (is a three seater) – nothing a seat cover won’t go over, and as I said could do with a fettle.
Can provide details of a company that insures her, and gives breakdown cover too.
Please ask any questions, and yes can be driven very slowly around a yard.
Mileage is in kilometres shown in the picture
OK, so price… I think in total she cost me around £10K by the time you add parts, the van, etc. (Sometime wondered where that went!) however she is home built, and to suit me, so I am looking at offers above £4200 – no VAT. I will take PayPal as long as the fees are covered – rather not be cash as its almost impossible to get to a bank!
Located on the south /west side of the Wirral.
