We purchased this van, just a year ago, and have enjoyed two extended trips to the south of France, and one to the south of England, as well as more local journeys, e.g. to Fife. However, my wife suffers from fibromyalgia and, after our last trip to France, for the new year, she decided that she is no longer able to cope.
The van is in good condition, and was last serviced in September – on the same day that it passed the MOT test. The turbo was replaced shortly after we purchased it. It drives well, and is very quiet. On decent runs, I was getting 40 mpg – but, as an octogenarian, I am a careful driver! The gearbox has six forward gears.
The conversion was done by a retired professional from whom we purchased. It has a pop-up roof; induction hob (no gas bottles required!); small sink (cold water only); mains hook-up; and ample sockets – 240v, 12v, and USB. The rear seat, which can take three people, folds down to make the bed, which we found to be very comfortable. Seating for three is also available in the cab.
There is under-bed storage and, when being used overnight, storage space above the cab and the bed. There is also a convenient, removable table. A Porta-potti is also included in the sale.
It comes with mains cables, and even adaptors for French sockets and for reversed polarity supplies. There is also a fitted towbar with 7-pin electrics.
