Vehicle Description
3.8L 2299cc Diesel engine. Despite high mileage, this van had a refurbished engine installed in 2014, which, at the time had approx 79000 miles. This engine has since been fully stripped, skimmed and rebuilt by hand. The engine now runs perfectly and smoothly. Anyone who knows these vans knows that, looked after properly, they will run and run.

A few minor rust patches as expected for a vehicle of this age – a motivated owner would be able to deal with this effectively. Some corrosion was recently identified on chassis, resulting in MOT failure – this has since been professionally welded and the vehicle has been passed.
Conversion Description
This old Mercedes has been given a beautiful and unique conversion. It has had a solid oak bed frame and kitchen units fitted by a professional carpenter. There is storage under bed as well as in the overhead lockers which have been installed. The kitchen comprises a 2-hob gas cooker, grill and oven, sink with electric pump from 50l water tank, and 3 way Electrolux fridge. The van has 12v lights throughout the back, run from the solar charged leisure battery. There is a TV aerial on the van and a 12v TV can be installed. There is a woodburner installed to make the interior very cosy in the winter so no restrictions on all season adventures. There is a long bench seat with storage underneath, though this area has lots of potential for further customisation with a dining area. Cute and quirky porthole windows have been added to allow in the light and there is also a sunlight. The van has a nearly new solar panel (purchased last year and installed this year), and the leisure battery is approx 3 years old.
This van has been on some wonderful adventures with us, up through the Highlands, including round the NC500, through France, Spain and Portugal, as well as keeping us cosy and comfortable at many a festival. Alas, since having our second child, there aren’t enough seating/sleeping options for our family and so we’re keen to see her go to new owners who will continue her adventures and look after her right.
