I’m selling my VW T4 as I’ve recently upgraded to a T5.
It’s been a fantastic, practical day van and camper for surfing, cycling, festivals and weekends away. I’ve mainly used it as a base for outdoor adventures, with the living space outside and the van providing somewhere comfortable to sleep, relax and store equipment.
It’s a simple, functional conversion rather than a full kitchen-equipped camper, and ideal for someone looking for an affordable adventure van.

Condition and history
It’s a 1997 T4, so naturally it has some age-related wear and bodywork areas that need attention.
There is visible rust around the wheel arches and lower bodywork, including two areas that require localised welding. The windscreen surround has had some rust treatment previously and would benefit from further attention and resealing, as it can let water in during rain.
Some of the surface rust has been treated, but further bodywork will be needed. These issues have been taken into account in the asking price.
The van has a current MOT until February 2027. Tyres have been replaced since the test.
Service and repair invoices are available from my ownership, along with MOT history. Full previous-owner service history is also available.
A great little adventure van
A characterful, stoic, practical T4 with a useful camper setup, ideal for surf trips, biking, weekends away or someone wanting a day van they can gradually improve.
It’s been a great van for me and is only being sold because I’ve moved on to a newer T5.
