VW T4 Caravelle – 1996 – Petrol 2.5 LPG Millage – 197,768 Selling due to having no time to use it. I have had this van for around 4-5 years and have done a fair amount of work on it since then. Here’s an honest description of the van PROS – – Professionally built units in the rear built from high graded birch plywood + poplar X2 Pull out rear draws – X1 Side drawer for kitchen – This has been perfect for camping, plenty of storage etc – Professional LPG conversion – comes with certificate and log book for this – It has saved me a fortune on fuel. – Cabling in place for leisure battery and sub (included in sale) – Full receipts of works done to the van from various quality garages – General Grabber tyres – Tony Banks stainless exhaust – Bike + roof rack included – New suspension last year – Recently passed MOT CONS – – Could do with a service – Could do with a service on the LPG – Sometimes cuts out when running hot, as soon as its fired back up its fine again, apparently the coil needs changing, should be pretty simple. – Gear box has started sometimes not been so smooth changing into certain gears – e.g from 2 > 3 sometimes slips a little. This could be an easy fix, maybe some adjusting. This van was changed from AUTO – MANUAL a few years ago, this problem has only been happening recently. – Reverse gear taps a little bit when in use. – New window switch needed for passenger door – super cheap. – Small cosmetic body work, few little bits of rust here and there but nothing major – See images for this. – Heating is not working, never had chance to get it looked at. All in all, it’s been a great van. In the correct hands the few things that need sorting can be easily fixed. I have gotten too busy to sort these things out before sale. Having LPG in the van has been great, its been really cheap to run and doesn’t effect the power etc, drives same as on petrol. Comes with awning, roof rack, sub speaker and bike rack.
